‘Yellowstone’s Final Season Is Finally Coming To Streaming — How & When To Watch

The highly anticipated final season of Yellowstone is finally making its way to streaming platforms, much to the excitement of fans. Starting in March, every episode from the Taylor Sheridan-led series will be available for streaming on a major platform.

Until now, Yellowstone has been one of the few modern TV shows that hasn’t been available for next-day streaming on any major service. After airing on the Paramount Network, fans had to wait for the season to be available for purchase on Amazon. While many assumed Paramount+ would house the series, Peacock secured the streaming rights to Yellowstone back in 2020. This is where the highly awaited Season 5 Part 2 will be landing soon.

When Is Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2 Streaming?

Peacock announced on February 14 that Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2 will be available to stream on Sunday, March 16. The first part of the season is already available, along with all the previous seasons, making it a great time to catch up or revisit the show.

As with past seasons, Peacock will be following its usual timeline for adding Yellowstone episodes to the platform, releasing them approximately three months after their debut on Paramount Network. This aligns with the March 16 release date for the final batch of episodes.

Season 5 Part 2 Recap

Season 5 Part 2 premiered on November 10 and wrapped up on December 15. It consists of six episodes, while Part 1 featured eight. This section of the series marked the first without Kevin Costner, who was written out following his shocking departure from the show. The season opened with the shocking death of his character, John Dutton, which set the tone for the rest of the episodes. The finale explored the Dutton family’s legacy and the fate of the Yellowstone ranch after a century of battles to preserve it.

Is Yellowstone on Paramount+?

Though Yellowstone is not available on Paramount+, the streaming platform does house all of the Yellowstone spinoffs, including 1883 and 1923, both of which are also created by Sheridan. 1923 recently aired its first season on Paramount Network but is now available on Paramount+. The second season of 1923 will debut on Paramount+ on February 23.

Is Yellowstone Season 6 Coming?

While Yellowstone fans may be hoping for a sixth season, Season 5 Part 2 is, for all intents and purposes, the series finale. The show’s creator, Taylor Sheridan, always intended for John Dutton’s character to die by the end of the series, but his exit was expedited after Costner’s sudden departure from the show due to scheduling conflicts. However, Yellowstone will continue with a Beth and Rip spinoff, which will be the first spinoff to carry the Yellowstone name.

In addition to the Dutton-focused spinoff, another new series, The Madison, starring Michelle Pfeiffer, is set for release in 2025. While these spinoffs may leave room for cameos from the Dutton family, they will explore new characters and stories within the Yellowstone universe.

With the final season soon streaming, and several exciting spinoffs lined up, fans of Yellowstone will still have plenty to enjoy in the franchise’s future.
