Home and Away Spoilers – Theo and Abby’s first date disaster
Next week on Home and Away in the UK, Theo and Abby’s budding romance takes an unexpected turn when a revelation about her past threatens to derail their first date.
As Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) continues to meddle in his ex-fiancée Eden’s (Stephanie Panozzo) love life, his fixation on her new boyfriend Tim (George Pullar) leads to more conflict. However, it’s Abby (Hailey Pinto) who faces the biggest fallout when her past with Tim comes to light, sending shockwaves through her new relationship with Theo (Matt Evans).
After enduring heartbreak over Tim’s decision to stop being her counsellor after falling for her sister, Abby has slowly found happiness again. Her growing friendship with Theo had shown promise, with flirtation blossoming between them. However, things became complicated when Mali (Kyle Shilling), who also had an interest in Abby, misled Theo into thinking she was already in a relationship with Tim.
When the truth came out that Tim was Abby’s former counsellor and not her boyfriend, Theo was left puzzled as to why Mali had lied to him. Mali defended himself by claiming he was just looking out for Abby, uncertain if she was ready for a relationship.
With Abby excited for her first official date with Theo, things seem to be looking up. But trouble arises when Justin (James Stewart) unexpectedly recognizes Tim while visiting the share house for Remi’s (Adam Rowland) gathering. It suddenly dawns on him that Tim had once run a drug counselling session he attended during his struggle with prescription painkiller addiction.
Concerned for Theo, Justin shares his worries with Leah (Ada Nicodemou). Given Theo’s history—having been introduced to drugs by his ex-girlfriend Valerie (Courtney Clarke) to cope with stress—Justin wonders whether Theo is even aware of the true reason Abby had been seeing Tim.
Determined to protect Theo, Justin and Leah seek confirmation from Kirby (Angelina Thomson) about Abby’s past, leading them to take action. As Theo eagerly waits for Abby to arrive at Salt for their date, Justin intercepts him, insisting they need to talk.
Meanwhile, at the farmhouse, Abby prepares for her big night, feeling optimistic about a fresh start. Levi (Tristan Gorey) is pleased to see his sister looking happy again and encourages her, saying it’s like she’s reclaiming her life after months of turmoil.
However, Theo is left stunned as Justin reveals Abby’s struggles with addiction. As Abby arrives at Salt, Theo immediately asks if they can take a walk to talk things through. Caught off guard, she confesses that she had a drug problem but is actively working to turn her life around.
Though Theo appreciates her honesty, it’s clear he’s struggling with the revelation. Sensing his hesitation, Abby decides to call off their date before he has the chance.
Seeking comfort, Abby turns to Mali, while Theo discusses his feelings with Leah and Justin. Although he genuinely likes Abby, he fears the risk of relapse for either of them. Later, when they meet again, Theo reveals that he, too, is in recovery from his past and, while he admires her for getting help, he cannot be in a relationship with her.
Abby puts on a brave face but is visibly crushed. Desperate for support, she heads to the hospital in search of Levi, unaware he isn’t there. Instead, she finds herself near the resus trolley, where nurses conduct their routine checks on the vials of morphine. As she eyes the medication, she ignores a call from Levi.
As the nurses move on, leaving the sealed cart momentarily unattended, the temptation becomes overwhelming.
Will Abby succumb to her demons and relapse?
