Bree Cameron (Juliet Godwin) has been working hard to move past the traumatic medical error that nearly ended her career on Home and Away. But just as she starts to regain her confidence, a sudden phone call leaves her feeling uneasy.
Recently, Bree faced a major crisis when she froze during a critical moment in Alf Stewart’s (Ray Meagher) treatment at Northern Districts Hospital. The incident nearly cost Alf his life, and now, Bree is doing everything she can to rebuild trust in her abilities as a doctor.
Trying to shake off the lingering stress, Bree enjoys a romantic evening out with her boyfriend, Remi Carter (Adam Rowland). The couple is enjoying their time together when Bree’s phone rings unexpectedly. It’s the hospital, and she is being called in for an early morning meeting.
Her mind starts racing—what could this meeting be about? Is she about to be given another chance, or is she facing the worst possible news about her future in medicine? As she waits for the next morning to arrive, the anxiety builds.
Meanwhile, at the hospital, there’s trouble brewing. Abigail Fowler (Hailey Pinto), a recovering drug addict, finds herself in a desperate situation. Still struggling with rejection from Theo Poulos (Matt Evans), Abigail is overwhelmed by emotional turmoil. Feeling like she has no other escape, she starts rifling through the medical cabinets, searching for drugs.
Just as she’s about to make a terrible mistake, hospital nurse Dana Matheson (Ally Harris) walks in and catches her red-handed. Abigail’s secret is out, and the situation quickly spirals. Her brother, Dr. Levi Fowler (Tristan Gorey), is soon called in. When Levi sees the state Abigail is in, he is wracked with guilt. He blames himself for not being there for her after Theo’s rejection sent her spiraling.
Now, both Dana and Levi must work together to prevent Abigail from falling back into addiction. Can they convince her to stay on the right path before it’s too late?
As the drama unfolds at the hospital, Bree faces the unknown. Will her meeting bring reassurance or devastation? And can Abigail resist temptation before she loses everything?
