Here’s Why Maxie Has Become The Best Character On General Hospital
Maxie has truly found her spark again, and fans are loving every moment of her revitalized character. Once known for her rebellious streak and a tumultuous past, Maxie (Kirsten Storms) has recently transformed into one of General Hospital’s most dynamic and empowering characters, and it’s been an absolute joy to watch.
Born into the chaos of Port Charles, Maxie is the daughter of the supercouple Frisco (ex-Jack Wagner) and Felicia (Kristina Wagner). Despite enduring a rough childhood, including the heartbreaking loss of her cousin B.J. Jones who donated her heart to Maxie, Maxie has overcome immense obstacles. Raised by Mac (John J. York) after her parents were largely absent, she grew up without the typical parental support most people take for granted. Her sister Georgie (Lindze Letherman) was tragically murdered in her teenage years, adding to Maxie’s emotional burdens.
As a rebellious teenager, Maxie made her fair share of mistakes and poor decisions. However, becoming a mother brought about a significant shift in her character. No longer interested in living on the edge, Maxie embraced a more mature path, pursuing a career in fashion and finding true love with Nathan (Ryan Paevey). Though Nathan’s death and her ill-fated relationship with Peter (Wes Ramsey) almost derailed her, Maxie’s fiery spirit never truly dimmed, especially when she fought back against Peter’s attempts to steal her baby and take her life.
After a brief and uneventful fling with Austin (Roger Howarth), Maxie seemed to fade into the background for a while, spending her time mostly in Deception meetings. However, the Maxie fans know and love is back, and she’s more powerful than ever.
Now, Maxie is once again a force to be reckoned with in Port Charles. She shares a strong bond with her parents, Felicia and Mac, and continues to excel as a loving mother to her three children. What’s more, her relationship with Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) has rekindled, and they’ve found their way back to each other, where they truly belong. Maxie has stepped into a new role as the voice of reason, offering guidance to her friends and family with maturity and wisdom.
One of the standout moments for Maxie’s character is her efforts to mend fences between her two best friends, Lulu (Alexa Havens) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton), who have had their differences. In the world of Deception, Maxie has not only taken charge but has proven herself to be the only one capable of handling Lucy (Lynn Herring) with authority.
Maxie’s mama bear instincts also came to the forefront recently when she stood up to WSB Agent Brennan, warning him not to hurt his new love interest. With her experience in dealing with the WSB, Maxie wasn’t afraid to show her protective side, even when the situation seemed delicate.
This new and improved Maxie is on track to become the matriarch of not just the Scorpio family, but of Port Charles as a whole. She’s fully embracing her role as a strong, self-assured woman with an indomitable spirit, and it’s clear that Maxie’s journey has only just begun. Watching her grow into this powerful and inspiring character is a true delight for General Hospital fans. Are you loving the revamped Maxie? Let us know!
